    Chunky Yarn Hand Knitted Blanket

Get ready for gift-giving this year. Grab a friend and join Stacey to learn how to create a hand-knitted 40″ x 60″ chenille (100% polyester) throw blanket in the basic knit stitch style. Not sure what that means? No problem! This is great for beginners – no tools or experience in knitting or crocheting is necessary.

**Required for class: Please purchase your yarn ahead of time and bring it to class with you. Below are some suggestions on quantity and what to purchase. The number of skeins varies depending on the size of stitch you make, so I would purchase one or two extra. You can always return what you don’t use.

    Where/what to purchase:

If you have any problems or questions regarding the yarn to purchase, please contact Stacey directly at staceymadeit@outlook.com or through Facebook.

      • I replied in an email, and I want to make sure everyone has the answer. They can be made as large or small as you want, and the instructor’s are as follows:
        Xlarge- 12″tall x 9″wide
        Large- 10″ x 7″
        Med- 9″ x 8″

    2. With the blanket I’m lost on skeins what do that mean? Is there something that is better quality or do that mean how many bundles I need to purchase

      • Hi Kimberly!
Great question – a SKEIN is a bundle of yarn either in a “hank” or “ball” or “cake”. A HANK must be wound into a ball or cake. Most yarn you see at Big Box Stores will be in a cake or ball and ready for use. At a Local Yarn Shop, you will find several yarns sold in hanks. Your local yarn shop will often wind a hank into a cake for you if you buy the yarn from them. Anyone can come here to Life In The Craft Room to wind hanks into cakes regardless of where you purchased the yarn.

So in this case, you need to buy that many bundles.
