Doll Making

A Topsy-Turvy Doll is a double-ended doll, that usually shows different characteristics on the opposite sides. These dolls can have different characters, different costumes, or different faces on each side. They can be as simple or as complicated as desired. Dolls like these can also be used by anyone who experiences communication difficulties to express their feelings.

Beginning sewists will likely need to plan for at least 4 hours (or 2 classes) to finish their doll. (You’ll be welcome to return to a second class if needed/desired.) Experienced sewists will likely finish their doll within 2 hours or one class.

All materials are included but students can bring in novelty yarn, feathers, lace, or fabric they would like to use on their doll. When registering, please indicate if you will be bringing your own sewing machine or will need to use one of ours.

This class is intended for students 15 and older who have basic sewing skills.

Instructor: Kimberly Vallance

All classes take place at Life in the Craft Room, 33304 W 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills MI.
